I built this because I needed it.
My name is Mike Lovatt. I run a marketing agency, and I wanted more clients. Cold email was obviously the way to get them. Then I tried to set it up.
The roadblock
I knew what I wanted. More clients, from a channel I controlled, that did not depend on referrals arriving or ads getting more expensive. Cold email does that, and plenty of agencies grow on it.
What nobody mentions is how much work sits between deciding to do it and sending the first email. Here is what I actually had to get through.
- Buy a pile of domains. Not one. You need a spread of them, because sending everything from a single domain is how you lose it. So that is ten checkouts, ten sets of details, ten renewal dates to track.
- Create the email accounts. Then again for every mailbox on every domain. Display names, passwords, forwarding. It is not difficult. It is just long, and it has to be right.
- Change the DNS. SPF, DKIM, DMARC, MX. Per domain, in a registrar panel that is different from the last one, where a single wrong character means mail silently fails days later.
- Copy and paste into Smartlead. Every mailbox, every SMTP and IMAP setting, one at a time. I lost an entire evening to this and found a typo in the morning.
- Wait fourteen days. Warmup cannot be rushed. So after all that work, nothing happens for a fortnight, and you are left hoping you set it up correctly because you will not find out until the end.
- Then write the actual emails. Subject lines. Bodies. Follow ups. From nothing. Send them, watch the replies not arrive, and have no idea whether it was the subject, the offer, the list or the timing.
None of it is hard. That is the frustrating part. It is a long chain of small, fiddly, easy to get wrong tasks, and every one of them is between you and the thing you actually wanted, which was talking to potential clients.
By the end of it I felt a bit lost. I had spent weeks on setup and still did not know whether my emails were any good, whether they were landing in inboxes, or which part to change first.
So I built Pipefire to delete all of it
Every step on that list is now something the product does. The domains are bought for you. The DNS is written correctly the first time. Mailboxes are created and connected without anybody pasting credentials between tabs. Warmup starts on its own and is measured every day rather than assumed.
The copy is written from a short brief, against a sample of the prospects actually on your list, with the weak subject lines rejected in code before you ever see them. And an agent watches the whole fleet so that when a domain burns, it is pulled and replaced without you finding out the hard way.
The thing I care most about is the one that started it. Your real domain, the one your clients email, never touches cold email. That separation is the whole point. You can send without gambling the asset your business already depends on.
Who is behind it
Pipefire is built and run by me, Mike Lovatt, through M&B Marketing SARL, a company registered in France. Registration numbers, the registered address and the full legal terms are on the legal pages, not hidden.
I am not a large company and I am not pretending to be one. I am an agency owner who hit this problem, could not find a tool that solved the whole chain instead of one link of it, and built the thing I wanted to buy. I use Pipefire to find clients for my own agency.
If something is broken or a claim on this site does not match what you see in your console, message me and I will tell you straight.
Skip the weekend I lost.
Answer a short brief and let the setup, the warmup and the watching happen without you.
